I stood up at 8:00, a little late because we had to to get on a bus at 8:30. I didnt have the time to eat all of my breakfast so i took it with me on the bus. We arrived at the school at 8:55, we were happy that we were on time for ones. We knew Alfredo would not be there but Anna would. We went to Alfredo's office to see if Anna was there but she wasn't. Clara, a well english speaking teacher told us Anna was late because normally she gets to the school by motorcycle with Alfredo but he would not be on school so another teacher would take her to the school but she (that teacher) forgot. Anna whatsapped us that she had to travel by subway for 2 hours and walk a long way because the teacher forgot to pick her up.
So, Anna would not be on the school for a long time. Anne and i were not sure what to do at this point. We discussed a little and decided to ask the english speaking teachers for help(Clara and Neara). We ended up with Neara (not sure about her name), she was teaching arts and crafts to the 2/3 grade children. The children have arts and crafts in english there so we were of good help. The assignment of today was to finish the 'tree' they had been working on. They painted a toilet paper roll brown and now had to make the top of the tree. Anne and i got some green paper for the children and Neana explained what they had to do. Anne and I had a great lesson because we could help the children and they liked us helping them. The second hour we sat in a teachers room and cut out speaking balloons. The children had written something in a speaking balloon and these were to be put together with a picture and get plastified ('geplastificeerd'). This is because the school has its fiftieth anniversary this year and they are going to celebrate this on a big scale. In the lunch break we sat in the teachers lunch room, we drank coffee and ate some bread(there is always some food in the teachers room). After the lunch break we had a english lesson with Neana, she is a very nice and kind woman. After the lesson we were not really sure what to do or where to go so we wandered around a bit until we saw a lot of children going to the playground. There was going to be a picture taken of them for the aniversary. We sat on a bench and watched the teachers get the children in position. After that we went with Clara to the english classroom we stayed there for the rest of the hour. At this point we knew that we would not see Anna this day. We left the school without seeing het but still it was a good day. I am very happy that the teachers are so kind and helpful.
We met up with Lies and Fleur at Petra's house. We went for lunch at a very simple restaurant but the food was great and very cheap. I paid only 6 euros for a salad, a big plate of Paella and a chocolat dessert. It was delicious. We went home and held a small siesta(watched some Game of Thrones episodes). We went groceries shopping after the siesta for some snacks and ended up eating most of them. Because of eating these snacks i didn't feel hungry at all anymore so we did not get any dinner. We did walk around a bit, we went to the bank and walked around a few blocks. I went to bed at 23:30.
